Lynn grew up in Ohio and overseas before moving to Colorado in 1981. She is now married and enjoys family life with her husband and two sons. As a child, she loved to draw and paint, taking her first oil painting lessons at the age of 9. Upon graduating from the University of Colorado, she worked for several years in the architectural engineering field as a lighting specialist. This experience helped her as an artist by providing a foundation in the principles of design, color, and light. Lynn began painting with watercolor in 1993 when she took her first workshop, and has since then concentrated on exploring and refining her handling of this difficult medium.

Lynn loves to paint the landscapes and animal life of Northern Colorado, where she has lived for over twenty years. Her greatest joy in painting is the act of creating something beautiful for others to enjoy. "We are modeled after our Creator in this way, who made us in His image". She primarily paints in watercolor, which she considers an ideal medium for capturing the atmospheric effects and "color layers" of Colorado's outdoor scenes. She describes her style as "representational, incorporating just enough detail to communicate the most beautiful and inspirational qualities of the scene". Her works are recognized by their delicate style and saturated color.

Recently, Lynn has devoted time to painting the scenery and wildlife of Rocky Mountain National Park. She enjoys painting both in the studio and on location, or "plein air". Her work has been exhibited in numerous juried shows, and can be found in collections around the United States, including the State of Colorado's Art in Public Places program. Recently, she was named "Artist of the Year" by the Wildfire Arts Center in Berthoud, Colorado.
